50以上のステージと新パワーアップ、敵を備えた3D迷路アドベンチャー。『スプーキータウン』や『ネオンシティ』などのテーマワールドで古典的なドット食いゲームプレイとパズル要素を融合。

一時的な無敵を付与する『スーパーピル』や特殊能力を解放する『レインボーピル』を導入。バトルロイヤル形式の『メイズタッグ』を含む4人対戦モードを搭載。

鮮やかなプリレンダー3Dグラフィックと完全ボイス入りのストーリーが特徴。ミズ・パックマンが悪戯好きのメズメラルダから盗まれた魔法のペレットを回収する物語。

メインキャンペーンの短さは批判されたが、スイッチやテレポーター、多層迷路を取り入れた創造的なステージ設計は、アーケードクラシックの新鮮な解釈として高評価。
