About This Game
Fatal Fury 2 marked a significant evolution in SNK's fighting game formula, introducing the revolutionary 'Line-Sway' mechanic that allowed characters to switch between foreground and background planes during combat.
The game introduced four new characters: Mai Shiranui (who became an SNK icon), Kim Kaphwan, Jubei Yamada, and Cheng Sinzan, each with unique fighting styles.
Fatal Fury 2 was the first game in the series to feature super special moves, executed by inputting more complex command sequences.
The game's success led to multiple ports and inspired the King of Fighters tournament concept that would later become SNK's flagship fighting series.
