HackPokemon Too Many Types 2 is a transformative ROM hack of Pokemon Emerald. Set two years after the original, you move to Lilycove City and discover a Hoenn region forever changed by the Kyogre and Groudon disaster. With a staggering 80 types and Pokemon that can possess up to three types simultaneously, this sequel completely reinvents the strategic depth of Pokemon battles.

Developed by Too Many Productions and led by Kobazco, Pokemon Too Many Types 2 is a standalone sequel that drastically expands upon the concept of its predecessor. The hack introduces 30 brand-new types, bringing the total to 80, and allows any Pokemon to have up to three types at once. This system alone forces even veteran players to completely reconsider type matchups and team composition.
Beyond the type chart overhaul, the game features a completely original story. You take on the role of a young trainer relocating to Lilycove City, stepping into a Hoenn still reeling from the ecological disaster caused by the legendary titans. A new villainous team emerges, seeking to exploit the region's instability, and it is up to you to uncover the mystery while encountering Pokemon in forms you have never seen before.
The hack includes a massive amount of content, featuring 131 new moves designed to interact with the expanded type system, 17 new Mega Evolutions, and a regional Pokedex of 398 Pokemon complete with DexNav functionality. Quality-of-life features are abundant, including the removal of EVs, soft level caps, level scaling for trainers, Infinite Candies, and an auto-heal function accessible by pressing 'L' in the party menu.
