Nam-1975 is a revolutionary run-and-gun arcade game developed by SNK and released in 1990. As the first game for the Neo Geo MVS (Multi Video System) platform, it set new standards for arcade graphics and gameplay.

Nam-1975 introduced the world to SNK's Neo Geo platform with unprecedented 2D graphics quality that was years ahead of competitors. Players control one of two special forces soldiers fighting through Vietnam-inspired jungles, villages, and military bases using a wide arsenal of authentic weapons including M16 rifles, grenade launchers, and flamethrowers.
The game features innovative 8-way joystick controls that allowed players to shoot in any direction while moving, a revolutionary concept at the time. Cooperative 2-player mode lets friends fight together through seven intense stages, culminating in battles against massive helicopter and tank bosses with detailed destructible environments.
While criticized for its sensitive Vietnam War theme, Nam-1975 was praised for its technical achievements and tight gameplay. It established the blueprint for future Neo Geo titles and demonstrated the platform's capabilities for delivering console-quality graphics in arcade cabinets.
