About This Retro Game
In an alternate timeline, the unchecked clash between Groudon and Kyogre devastated Hoenn. Cities crumbled, the environment was reshaped by endless storms, and the age of trainers faded into legend. As a wandering survivor in this ruined world, hope arrives with two mythical Pokemon: Jirachi, the wish-granting star, and Celebi, the guardian of time. They send you back to prevent the catastrophe, but when you arrive in the Hoenn you remember, something is wrong. Echoes of the ruined future begin leaking into the timeline, corrupting the past.
As you journey across this reimagined Hoenn, familiar towns hide unsettling signs. Strange new mutant forms of Pokemon appear, Gym Leaders and villains have been replaced by new factions, and survivors from the post-apocalyptic future roam as a morally ambiguous force. The game follows the classic structure of earning badges, but every battle and choice carries the weight of two timelines. The project is currently around 40% complete, with the available build allowing players to experience the story from the beginning up to roughly the middle of the game.
Built with the modern pokeemerald-expansion decompilation engine, the game offers a stable and expanded foundation for its unique mechanics. Whether you encounter desperate time-traveling survivors or witness history subtly shifting around you, each moment adds to a narrative centered on redemption, second chances, and the fragile hope that a single wish might heal a future that was never meant to exist.
