Pokemon Null was designed by Terra as a complete rebuild of Hoenn specifically for players seeking a genuine competitive challenge. Featuring over 275 handcrafted trainer battles with competitive AI and optimized movesets, this hack transforms the familiar journey into an unforgiving tactical gauntlet.
The game expands the Pokedex to include Pokémon from Generations 1 through 9, along with brand new Mega Evolutions inspired by Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Over 50 evolutionary lines have simplified evolution methods, and form-changing items for Pokémon like Rotom and Silvally add deep strategic variety.
Quality of life improvements remove unnecessary grind: a portable PC, infinite Repel system, Candy Bag for instant level capping, and the ability to apply pre-damage or pre-status directly from the party menu. HMs can be used from the overworld without teaching them, and both Mach and Acro Bikes are accessible without swapping.
The Hoenn region has been significantly redesigned with a reshuffled gym order, three new areas to explore, ten new boss battles, and new rival encounters throughout the story. Hard level caps prevent overleveling, and the reworked AI actively counters your strategies. Pokemon Null is widely regarded as one of the most difficult and rewarding ROM hacks ever created.
