Mobile Controls and Fullscreen
Learn how to use virtual controls, enter and exit fullscreen, play in landscape mode, and restore a game after switching apps.

Using the Virtual Controller
On touch devices, the virtual controller appears over the game after the emulator is ready. Use the directional pad or analog area with your left hand and the action buttons with your right. Start, Select, shoulder buttons, and other controls appear according to the selected console.
The controller is resized and repositioned when the screen dimensions or orientation change. Landscape mode usually provides more room for the game image and controls, especially for PlayStation, Nintendo 64, and six-button Arcade games.
Entering Fullscreen
- Select the game’s regional or language version before play when a version dialog appears.
- Start the game and wait for the emulator to finish loading.
- Choose Fullscreen from the game controls.
- Rotate the device to landscape if you want more horizontal room.
Fullscreen Controls
Fullscreen navigation controls hide automatically so they do not cover the game. Tap the rendered game screen to show them again. Tapping the virtual direction pad or action buttons does not intentionally reopen those controls.
Exit Fullscreen appears near the upper-left area on supported mobile layouts. Tap it to leave fullscreen safely. If it is hidden, tap the game image rather than a virtual controller button.
Switching to Another App
Mobile browsers may pause a game while another app is open. When you return, allow a moment for the game area and virtual controls to resize and recover. If a resume message appears, tap it once and wait for gameplay to continue.
- Return to the same browser tab and wait briefly.
- Tap the game image if the game is waiting for input or the fullscreen controls are hidden.
- If the virtual controller is missing, exit and re-enter fullscreen or rotate the device once.
- If the browser was in the background for a long time and the game restarted, reopen the same game version and use Load Game.
Controls Are Missing or Cut Off
- Tap the game screen and wait briefly for the layout to update.
- Exit fullscreen, then enter fullscreen again.
- Rotate between portrait and landscape once, then keep the orientation that gives the game enough room.
- Open the emulator settings and confirm that Virtual Gamepad is enabled.
- Reload the current game only if the controls do not return, then load your latest save.
iPhone and iPad Notes
On iPhone and iPad, fullscreen may use a browser-sized layout rather than the same native fullscreen mode available on desktop. The game keeps the fullscreen-style layout where possible when you return from another app. Browser controls can still reappear after an orientation change or when the operating system restores the tab.
Regional or Language Versions
Games with several regional or language releases show a version-selection dialog before the emulator starts. Select the version before entering gameplay. Fullscreen does not replace this choice, and saves may not be compatible with a different release.
