Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance – Visual Improvement

Released by Pemburu Vampir, this hack builds upon Piggy Chan!'s Symphony of Dissonance visual patch with additional refinements and fixes. The entire game has been recolored: Juste's coat receives a deeper red palette, blood is now consistently red throughout, torches and lamps are properly brightened, and explosion effects are more vibrant. The result is a darker, moodier Dracula's Castle that finally matches the series' signature aesthetic.

Beyond color correction, the patch addresses numerous graphical errors and inconsistencies. Tile errors in the Clock Tower, Castle Top Floor, and Entrance areas are fixed, the Warp Room doors now transition correctly between Castles A and B, and Fairy's wing colors have been corrected. New sprites from ncoZ (walking, jumping, falling) replace Juste's original stiff animations, and the Feather Demon is replaced with the more imposing Malphas.

Multiple patch versions are available, including options for the original whip length versus the Chain Whip, and a red pause menu for those who prefer a more Symphony of the Night-style interface. An optional localization fix by Spiffy corrects item descriptions and enemy names. All changes are designed to respect the original game while delivering the definitive visual experience for this overlooked Castlevania gem.
